Poster # 1054 Biopsy Validation of 18F-FDOPA-PET Uptake and Biodistribution in Gliomas for Neurosurgical Planning and Radiotherapy Target Delineation: Preliminary Results of a Prospective Pilot Study

About the Presenter:
I graduated from the University of Florida in 2009 with a Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering Sciences, specializing in Medical Physics. I am currently a third-year therapeutic medical physics fellow at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. My clinical interests include all aspects of IGRT for treatment planning, delivery and evaluation, and implementation of image-guided technologies new to the clinic. My current research areas focus on radiotherapy target delineation using advanced imaging techniques (e.g. PET tracers outside 18F-FDG, diffusion MRI, and perfusion MRI) and adaptive re-planning strategies for lung using daily CBCT. At the end of my 3-year program, I will have experience in HDR/LDR brachytherapy, Gamma Knife, SBRT, IMRT, TBI, TSET, IORT, external beam treatment planning, and various IGRT technologies associated with treatment planning, delivery, and evaluation.
